Jeffersonville, IN – September 26, 2024. Today, America Place, Jeffersonville's leading commercial real estate developer, marked a significant achievement in constructing its largest project with a ceremonial beam signing at River Ridge. This event underscores America Place's robust growth and commitment to enhancing the local and regional economy.

This is America Place’s ninth development in the River Ridge Commerce Center—a sprawling 567,433-square-foot warehouse on a 35-acre campus, set to open in January 2025. The beam signing took place at the job site of 370 Logistics Avenue and included several construction team members, engineers, and architects who have worked on this project. Other guests included Indiana State representative Wendy Dant Chesser and River Ridge board members.

The project boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a high clear height for optimal vertical space, optimized column spacing and speed bays for efficient operations, and numerous manual dock and drive-in doors equipped with operators.

America Place’s CEO Jim Karp says, “Today marks a significant milestone in our journey at River Ridge, symbolized by this beam signing ceremony. This new development is a testament to our commitment to excellence and Southern Indiana. Once again, we look forward to advancing economic growth in this region.”

Indiana State Representative Wendy Dant Chesser added, "The River Ridge Development Authority is thrilled to see such developments that create jobs and advance our reputation as a regional logistics hub. These initiatives strengthen our local economy and foster a vibrant community environment. This project continues our commitment to ensuring that our region remains at the forefront of innovation and growth in the logistics sector."

The project is designed to accommodate 600 workers at a time and can employ a maximum of 1,800 people across three shifts. During its construction phase, 200 tradesmen are expected to be actively working on-site, contributing to the setup and completion of the facility. This setup not only facilitates substantial employment during construction but also promises significant job opportunities post-construction with the potential for around-the-clock operations.
